Cat lady refuses to give up kitten when her roommate's boyfriend complains about his allergy after a 2-week trial period: 'I'm going back on our agreement!'

This cat owner was pressured into rehousing her precious kitten by her roommate's "allergic" boyfriend.

Nothing can come between an owner and their beloved pet, especially a good-for-nothing boyfriend. Sure, the owner probably shouldn't have agreed to a two-week trial period, but once she realized that her roommate's boyfriend wasn't holding up his end of the bargain, she figured it wasn't worth it to hold up hers. 

She tried suggesting that he take allergy medication, but like so many men, he refused to believe anything medical could actually help. Instead, he dug his heels into the ground and insisted that the cat must go.

The worst part about this is that this man is not even on the owner's lease. His girlfriend is, but she's essentially just taking her new man's position as if his word is final. The owner decided she would no longer be intimidated by this, especially considering the fact that her roommate and the boyfriend could always just stay at his place!

  • It's worth noting that the author might have made an error in promising that if the dynamic does not improve in two weeks, she'll consider getting rid of her cat. Still, we're not talking about some easily fixable problem. This was her emotional support animal, and she even had documentation proving it. We can't help but side with the author and blame the roommate for not seeing her side of the story and for trying to enforce a pretty ruthless guideline.
